The Design Process
Every project is unique and I embrace that! My approach is to understand your needs and tailor the design process to fit. By focusing on what matters most to you, I can make sure your project gets the care and attention it deserves. To guide us I follow a flexible design process outlined below.
Discovery & Consultation
We begin by getting to know each other. In our first meeting, I’ll listen carefully to your needs, ideas, and vision. I’ll ask about your goals, preferences, and any challenges you’re facing. This helps us set a clear direction for your project. We’ll walk through your space or review architectural plans and take any necessary measurements. We’ll also talk through the budget, timeline and key collaborators. Following this meeting, I’ll provide a tailored proposal and design brief, as well as terms of engagement.
Concept & Planning
In this stage I’ll develop design concepts that bring your vision to life. This phase includes layout options, material selections, and color schemes. We’ll refine the ideas together, ensuring they align with your style and goals. We’ll also establish a clear timeline and budget for your project. This phase sets the tone for the entire project, showcasing the key elements that will make your space uniquely yours.
Design Development
This phase is all about transforming the approved concept into clear, actionable plans. Layouts are finalized, materials sourced, and custom furnishings created. You’ll receive visual representations of the design, such as mood boards or 3D renderings, to help you visualize the end result. I also work on creating schedules, finalizing budgets, and making sure all the details are set for the next phases of procurement and installation.
Implementation
Once the design is set, we move into sourcing everything needed to bring your space together. This stage involves ordering furniture, lighting, accessories, and all other design elements that have been carefully selected. Along with procurement, I manage the logistics, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and tradespeople to ensure the delivery of each item.
Review
Once the design is complete, we’ll walk through the space together to ensure you’re 100% satisfied. I’ll also provide you with any aftercare instructions for maintaining your space.
Ongoing Support
Even after the project is completed, I’m here to help with any questions or future design updates. Whether you need additional furnishings or small tweaks, I offer ongoing support to ensure your space continues to work for you.
